How it Works

The mortgage advice process is one that has been regulated since November 2004 by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), and is a very complicated one.

In order to establish if you have been mis-sold a mortgage we willcomplete a full mortgage audit. This will involve an in depth questionnaire that establishes whether you may have a potential claim against your mortgage broker, mortgage lender, the surveyor or in some cases the solicitor who acted for you.

Having had a number of years where credit was freely available and the competition for business was high, it is only since the UK entered into a period of recession that people are starting to realise they were mis-sold a mortgage or given bad advice by the mortgage broker.

To find out, simply take the short test and submit your details to have your case reviewed by one of our auditors.

This initial test will give an indication of the possibility of a claim.  Should this be the case then you will need to complete a full questionnaire.  Remember that if you dont have a claim once you have completed the full questionnaire then you will be entitle to a full refund.

Once we have all your details a full review of your case will be completed by three auditors.  We  will then provide follow-up advice on your best route forward wth your mortgage mis-selling claim, including a no-win-no-fee arrangement should you instruct us to pursue a complaint on your behalf.  We will then attempt to claim compensation on your behalf.

Please note – it is also possible for you to act independently and take all of your documentation to your own solicitor or another legal representative to review your case. Please be aware that this is a very specialised and technical area of law and you should ensure that they are fully conversant with the FSA’s rules and how mortgage legislation currently operates.
