Why use Gravitas Law?

What can I claim for?

Conflict of interest (where the broker placed you in a mortgage that was unsuitable for you because it gave him a better commission).

Misrepresentation (where the broker advised you wrongly about the benefits of the product and/or failed to tell you about its failings.

Technical breaches(these are complex to explain, suffice it to say in exceptional cases we may be able to have your mortgage reduced to zero.

Can a review be performed on a Mortgage product that I no longer have?

We will perform product reviews on mortgages, even when you have remortgaged or paid the mortgage.

Is success guaranteed?

It is not possible to guarantee success with any kind of claim. However we will refund your fee, should a claim be unsuccessful.

Will I receive a full refund if can not help me?

You will receive a full refund if we can not obtain an economic benefit for you.

When do I need to pay the fee?

You need to pay the Fee to allow us to properly assess the merits of the case, we need to obtain documentation from all parties involved and investigate for any breaches that have caused you a loss.

What are the timescales for the process?

Each case can vary in the time it takes to complete, with much of this variation being related to the speed of response by the lender. Most claim types are now expected to last between 4 and 15 months depending on the complexities of the case.

Will I be ‘blacklisted’ by the lender if I make a claim?

If you make a claim against a company then, under ‘treating customers fairly’ rules, you should not be treated any differently to any other client.

What is mortgage miselling?

Mortgage misselling is not a legal term, it is a way to include all the potential breaches or and misrepresenations by any of the of the parties involved in the mortgage.

Could you write the balance off my mortgage?

On successful cases we will be able to obtain compensation, and even though it is possible that we could write the balance of your mortgage off it will be highly unlikely.

I am going to be repossessed, can you help?

Yes, contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you on trying to stop the repossession and/or achive compensation.

My house has been repossessed, can you still help?

Yes, we will investigate if your mortgage was missold and try to obatin compensation for your losses.
